The Cantor Lab, newly relocated to the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, is actively seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our growing, multidisciplinary team.
The overarching goal of our lab is to understand how metabolic conditions affect the behavior of human cells, with a focus on deciphering genetic and environmental contributions to cell fitness across cancer and immunity. To achieve this broad goal, we integrate our unique technological platforms—including synthetic physiologic media and our custom bioreactor system—with a multidisciplinary approach at the biology-engineering-biotechnology interface. This strategy allows us to uncover previously hidden cell biology, providing a mechanistic lens to reveal insights that are otherwise masked or overlooked in standard models. Ultimately, our work aims to identify unforeseen therapeutic targets and optimize engineering strategies for adoptive cell therapies.
As part of our newly expanding space at Fox Chase, you will be immersed in a rich scientific community and gain experience in advanced in vitro modeling, mechanistic biology, and cutting-edge technologies. Our training philosophy extends far beyond technical execution; the goal is to help you actively hone your skills in critical thinking, hypothesis generation, experimental design, scientific communication, and data analysis. You will be part of a collaborative environment with state-of-the-art tools, strong funding stability, and seamless access to world-class institutional core facilities, working closely with Dr. Cantor to identify project opportunities that align with our collective interests and support your long-term professional development.
