The Wei Laboratory at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking to recruit an outstanding candidate to fill a Research Specialist position (Full Level). The ideal candidate will be able to independently develop, guide, and complete research projects and manage and train lab personnel.
Research in the Wei Lab focuses on developing novel diagnostic strategies for skin cancer and other skin disorders. Our lab utilizes clinical samples, molecular biology and artificial intelligence to answer the question of how to improve diagnosis of skin disorders, including cancer–earlier and more accurately–with the goal of translating discoveries from the lab into the clinic. We work collaboratively with basic scientists, computational biologists, pathologists, and oncologists at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Cancer Center.

Salary and appointment will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and training. See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $96,500-$201,700.
