A full funded Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Friedman lab at the Hebrew University (Rehovot, Israel). The lab studies how microbes interact and evolve combining modeling, experimental evolution, microfluidics, and high-throughput sequencing. For more information about the lab visit our website.
The project aims to develop a predictive understanding of how interspecies interactions and community functions change as species coevolve. We have already evolved dozens of simple bacterial communities for ~400 generations, providing a unique resource for this project. For more information see our recent preprint.
Candidates should have experience in experimental bacteriology. Experience in evolutionary biology, ecology, or microbial genomics is an advantage.
To inquire about this position, send your CV and a brief note explaining your interest in the position to Dr. Jonathan Friedman (email@example.com).
