Lab Technician In Neurobiology

This is a permanent position from January 1st, 2027 or as soon possible.

Department of Molecular Biology & Genetics at Aarhus University is looking for a skilled lab technician for neurobiology. We need a new colleague from January 1st, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will be responsible for culturing primary rat neurons, maintaining the lab supply, reagents, antibody libraries, stock solutions, and routine assays in biochemistry, and cloning.

You will be working primarily with neuron cultures and brain tissues.

You will be involved in lab management, purchasing, invoicing and the use of other university admin systems.

These activities will be in close collaboration with lab members.

Experience in primary neuron cultures, cloning, biochemistry, genetics.

Lab management skills.

Communication and/or language skills in English and Danish.

Personal skills.

The place of work is at Universitetsbyen 81, 8000 Aarhus C, and the area of employment is Aarhus University with affiliated institutions.

Salary and terms as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees in Denmark/State (HK/Stat) for clerical staff, laboratory technicians and IT employees and the joint collective agreement concluded between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Organisations of Public Employees – Denmark – Danish State Sector (the OAO-S joint collective agreement).

You will be employed as a Lab technician in salary group 2-6 depending on seniority and qualifications.
