The Lymphoma and Leukemia Research Group led by Adjunct Professor Georgios Rassidakis in the Department of Oncology-Pathology has one laboratory engineer vacancy. The research of the group is focusing on the mechanisms of lymphomagenesis and leukemogenesis as well as the mechanisms underlying anti-tumor immune responses in human lymphomas. Our research laboratory at Bioclinicum (New Karolinska University Hospital, Solna) and the facilities at KI provide an excellent environment for research.
The Laboratory engineer will have a central role in the research group, combining responsibility for experimental work with coordination of laboratory operations. The position involves independent planning, execution and optimization of experimental projects, including cell culture and various molecular biology assays at the DNA, RNA and protein level. The candidate will be responsible for data processing, analysis and reporting, and will contribute to method development and optimization of laboratory protocols to ensure high research quality. The Laboratory engineer will work in close collaboration with the PI, PhD and MSc. students, postdoctoral researchers and other collaborators, contributing to a well-functioning laboratory environment.
In addition, the candidate will coordinate the daily management of the laboratory, including procurement, invoicing, database administration, scheduling and safety compliance. The candidate will also be involved in training and supervising new graduate and undergraduate students.
