This is an exciting opportunity for a Learning Technologist to work in close collaboration with academic and professional services staff, taking a leading part in the design, development and implementation of the online education infrastructure and exceptional learning content for a flagship doctoral programme. The Learning Technologist is a dedicated role to support the new blended Professional Doctorate in Global Health (DrPH). This degree is being developed by the Institute for Global Health, in collaboration with the Faculty of Population Health Sciences, for its launch in the 2027/28 academic year. The DrPH is a well-recognised UK qualification designed to provide advanced public health, research, and leadership training to professionals pursuing careers across academia, public health agencies, and private sector roles.
As the primary digital education specialist, your main purpose is to ensure an innovative, high-quality, and engaging online learning experience for the DrPH in Global Health, alongside other Institute for Global Health degrees and short courses. You will also serve as a champion for current and emerging educational technologies, providing expert guidance and training to programme staff. This role also involves a close partnership with central UCL teams to ensure consistent and coordinated support, and you will contribute your expertise to wider digital education strategies across the Faculty of Population Health Sciences.
