This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping students understand not only how to work with data and code, but why these practices matter for society, culture, identity, and power. We welcome candidates with experience developing computational approaches to problems in the humanities, cultural heritage, and the social sciences. We particularly encourage scholars whose expertise explores areas such as critical data methods, text analysis, data visualisation, databases and information infrastructures, or critical AI literacy.
We are not seeking candidates whose primary expertise lies in computer science, engineering, medical informatics, business analytics, or technical optimisation of digital systems, without a substantive humanities angle. Instead, we welcome applicants who can teach technical skills through a humanities- or social-science-led lens, and who value interdisciplinary dialogue.
As well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer some great benefits some of which are below:

These include people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds; people with disabilities; LGBTQI+ people; and for our Grade 9 and 10 roles, women.
