Project and Research Environment
We are looking to for up to two PhD students for exciting projects in the field of cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) studies of membrane trafficking.
We are a small international team based at the Max-Planck-Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences in Göttingen, Germany. We aim to understand how molecular machines select cargo and drive the formation of transport carriers within the endosomal network. In this mission, we rely primarily on cryo-ET and subtomogram averaging to obtain detailed snapshots of reconstituted and endogenous molecular machines.
