Our laboratory is studying the relationships among metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), metabolically-related heart disease, and sarcopenia. These conditions frequently occur concomitantly with diabetes and obesity.
You will be part of a cardiovascular metabolic disorders research team reporting to the principal investigator at the National Heart Centre Singapore. You are responsible for the progress of research projects assigned to you and are expected to establish research expertise in cell culture, mouse models of metabolic disease affecting the liver, heart, and skeletal muscle, with metabolomic and genomic analyses, and RNA and protein processing and analyses. You will also assist the principal investigator in leading and supervising junior researchers and be involved in research collaborations.
Job requirements:
I recently moved to the National Heart Centre Singapore from Duke-NUS Medical School. I am a Professor at Duke University School of Medicine but am based in Singapore. If interested please apply early as I plan to fill the position as soon as possible although that can be negotiated.
