Doctoral Research Fellowship In Machine Learning And Statistics

Integreat – the Norwegian Centre for Knowledge-driven Machine Learning at the University of Oslo invites applications for a doctoral research fellowship in machine learning and statistics. We welcome applicants early in their research careers, who are eager to contribute to impactful methods for generating private and fair synthetic data with good utility.

We are particularly interested in applicants motivated to develop machine learning methods that matter for society — including fairness, privacy, ethical responsibility, and responsible use of data — and who want to grow as researchers in a supportive and interdisciplinary environment.

Starting date upon individual agreement and no later than 1 October.

The fellowship period is three years. A fourth year may be considered and it will involve 25 % of other career-promoting work. Other career-promoting work may consist of teaching, supervision, and/or research assistance. This is dependent upon the qualification of the applicant and the current needs of the department.

Applicants may hold a PhD Research Fellowship at the University of Oslo for one fellowship period only.
