Jiří Vondrášek Group at IOCB Prague is looking for a PhD student to join a project at the interface of biomolecular dynamics and modern data science (ERBIOM project). Our group has a long-standing track record in molecular modeling, molecular dynamics simulations, and structural bioinformatics of proteins and other biomolecules – and we’re now scaling that expertise to meet the volume and complexity of data these methods generate.
This is not a conventional bioinformatics or molecular biology position. We’re looking for someone genuinely excited by the intersection of structural/molecular biology, physics-based simulation, and machine learning/deep learning – a person who wants to be challenged by combining these fields rather than specializing in just one of them. You’ll work on problems where large-scale simulation data meets ML/DL methods to extract new insight into protein and biomolecule dynamics.
