The Division of Pediatric Oncology, Department of Oncology and the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine are recruiting an established physician scientist/pediatric oncologist with research and clinical expertise in the field of pediatric hematologic malignancies. The candidate will lead efforts in translational oncology, clinical trials, and clinical care in the Pediatric Hematologic Malignancies Program at the SKCCC. The ideal candidate will be an established (Associate Professor or equivalent, or above), board-certified, pediatric oncologist with a record of successful academic productivity in leukemia and/or lymphoma research. Clinical responsibilities will focus on the care of children, adolescent and young adult patients with hematologic malignancies, and research activities will be aligned with the interests and expertise of the candidate but should center around pediatric hematologic malignancies. A major focus of the candidate should be in clinical trials and program building efforts. Protected time for research activities will be afforded and will be tailored appropriately to the final candidate.
The candidate will join an active multi-disciplinary Pediatric Oncology Program at SKCCC, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. The Department of Oncology consists of 165 faculty members in all disciplines of oncology (including Pediatric Oncology) and partners closely with dedicated surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and other experts essential for the comprehensive care of cancer patients across all ages.
Please share this information with any candidates in your program who have an interest or experience in pediatric hematologic malignancies and who may be interested. We will be happy to extend an invitation for them to meet with us for further discussion, and to interview with our program if selected. We look forward to hearing about any potential candidates.
