Exciting post-doctoral research opportunities are available in Dr. Jennifer Chia's lab in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. We are seeking highly motivated fellows with interest in hematopoietic regulation and immune signaling. For these positions, expertise in a combination of mouse models, flow cytometry, molecular biology and bioinformatics are required, and prior experience with primary human specimens, hematopoiesis, stem cells, or hematologic neoplasia are strongly desired. Prior expertise with other innovative, advanced methodologies that can advance our overall research goals are also valued.
The Chia lab has on-going projects spanning steady-state hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) regulation, HSC-niche interactions, pediatric leukemia, and hematopoietic aging. The lab is an exciting place to do cutting-edge research with eminent translational possibilities and the potential to develop independent research projects. Fellows will have the opportunity to work closely with other trainees at various levels of training in our own lab and with multidisciplinary scientific and clinical collaborators across the UCLA campus. Finally, tailored mentoring will be provided by the PI to support the fellow's career development in addition to their scientific growth.
We seek to build an energetic, fun, hardworking, kind and respectful culture. Interested candidates should provide a CV, three references, and a brief research statement.
