At Lilly, the work is demanding because patients are waiting. We unite caring with discovery to help make life better for people around the world, knowing that every decision, every detail, and every day matters. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, our over 50,000 employees around the globe take on complex challenges to discover and deliver life-changing medicines, strengthen how health is understood and managed, and support the communities we serve. This is hard, urgent, selfless work—but it's work worth doing. If you're driven by purpose and ready to bring your best to work that truly matters for patients, we invite you to join us.
Are you looking to make an impact in drug discovery at the frontier of G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) science? We are seeking an ambitious post-doctoral scientist with strong research and communication skills to contribute to a high-visibility research program in quantitative GPCR pharmacology.
GPCRs represent the single largest gene family encoding targets for approved drugs, including several of Lilly's most impactful medicines. Despite transformative advances in molecular pharmacology and structural biology, the theoretical frameworks used to describe GPCR drug action remain incomplete. This project will address that gap directly — developing new mechanistic models to explain binding mechanisms that existing pharmacological theory cannot adequately describe.
In this role, you will:
This position provides the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research with world-class industry resources and technology, while gaining direct experience of the drug discovery process. The candidate will develop deep expertise in quantitative GPCR pharmacology at the intersection of molecular pharmacology, structural biology, and disease biology.
