A position is available in the department of Translational Imaging (DTI) for a highly motivated and independent candidate to utilize in vivo multi-modal adaptive optics retinal imaging in preclinical models to explore the potential of cellular transplantation and neuroprotective therapies in the treatment of retinal degenerative disorders including glaucoma and Advanced Macular Degeneration.
The department of Translational Imaging develops and leverages novel in vivo imaging technologies to address key gaps in drug development. The imaging modality base within DTI spans microscopy to whole animal nuclear imaging. Technologies developed within the department are applied across drug development, from early preclinical research to clinical application.
You will collaborate with scientists in Research and Translational Ophthalmology to evaluate novel preclinical retinal disease models and treatments using state-of-the-art in vivo adaptive optics retinal imaging, reporter mice, AAV constructs, iPSC derived cells, histology, and Omics approaches.
