The Opportunity:
A postdoctoral fellow position is available for a highly motivated and independent candidate to join the laboratory of Dr. Peter Hsu in the Department of Structural Biology at Genentech to answer fundamental questions in both chromatin biology and ubiquitination pathways using biochemical and structural biology tools.
The Hsu Lab works on the biochemical and structural mechanisms of large, multi-subunit protein complexes, with an emphasis on chromatin regulatory factors and E3 ubiquitin ligases involved in key cellular processes. In this role, you will have access to state-of-the-art structural biology and biophysical equipment and facilities, including a well-equipped cryoEM core for both single particle and tomography applications. In addition, you will have opportunities to collaborate with other labs both within Genentech and in academia, and present your work at conferences.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco California is $100,000 to $106,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
