The Dai Lab, focused on uncovering the physical chemistry of biological soft matter, is seeking candidates with expertise at the intersection of electrochemistry and artificial intelligence. Ideal candidates will have experience in machine learning, large language models, AI-agent development and computational workflows, with particular interest in building autonomous or semi-autonomous agents that can integrate literature knowledge, analyze multimodal experimental data, generate mechanistic hypotheses, design experiments, and interact with laboratory instrumentation. Experience with Python, model/API integration, retrieval-augmented generation, tool-using agents, scientific databases, and automated experimental platforms is highly desirable. The candidate is required to have a strong chemistry background with experiences in wet-lab experiments.
