We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our exciting and mission driven research program. We are a team-oriented, basic-translational lab researching mechanisms and pathways of metabolic disease. Our goal is to leverage this understanding to identify novel therapeutic approaches that will address the unmet needs of patients affected by obesity, type 2 diabetes and steatotic liver disease. The project of the successful candidate will focus on mitochondrial metabolism in macrophages of the liver using isotope tracing, flow cytometry, molecular biological approaches, in vitro cell culture systems, and novel mouse models. Optimal candidates will have experience with immunometabolism and use of these techniques and models. The overall goal is to decipher how obesity-related metabolic disease affects macrophage metabolism and determine how modulating nutrient flux can affect the progression of liver injury and metabolic dysfunction.
