A fully funded postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Molecular Neuroscience led by Dr. Andrija Sente at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology in Dortmund, Germany. The position is available from January 2027 and is initially limited to 2 years. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, newly established research team with access to state-of-the-art core facilities for light and electron microscopy, flow cytometry, and mass spectrometry.
The researcher will investigate the cell biological pathways underlying the assembly of multimeric membrane proteins using CRISPR-based genetic screens, as well as mechanistic dissection using techniques from molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry and structural biology. Responsibilities include:
