Principal Research Scientist

Jinan-NTU Green Technology Research Institute (GreenTRI) was established to focus on international collaborations in digital technologies and GreenTech.

GreenTRI is looking for a motivated Principal Research Scientist to guide the centre of excellence in achieving its vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Director in providing strategic direction and leadership to guide the centre of excellence in achieving its vision and mission.
• Assist the Director in offering scientific insights and strategic direction for research collaborations with industry partners.
• Help the Director plan, strategize, and implement frameworks and processes to meet the center's milestones and goals.
• Lead research programs focused on emerging technologies and talent development.
• Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external collaborators to achieve common objectives.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to researchers and PhD students.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree from a world leading university, preferably in a field related to Computer Science/Engineering, with at least 20 years' experience in a research-intensive educational and research environment.
• Strong leadership in managing executive and professional programmes
• Strong experience as subject matter expert in digital technologies, cross-disciplinary areas, etc.
• Significant experience in supervising and mentoring research staff and students
• Significant experience and success in leading strategic collaborations.
• Excellent oral and written communications, with strong interpersonal skills.
