Legal Research Associate

The Nanyang Business School (NBS) is recruiting a Legal Research Associate in the area of AI, data protection and data privacy law, technology law, health law and cybersecurity law and practice. Key responsibilities include assisting in primary legal research on databases such as Lexis-Nexis, HeinOnline etc, collating research materials found, inclusive of preparing summaries of research materials which involves reading and drafting written summaries of regulatory materials, legal judgments, and secondary materials. The role also involves formulation and development of data governance practices and frameworks, implementing empirical research, and other research administrative tasks.

Job requirements include a Bachelor of Law degree or Juris Doctor from a good university, with experience in research and/or AI law and regulation and/or in data protection law. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with leadership potential, organized and meticulous, capable of following instructions meticulously, and a team player who is able to work independently are also required. A solid understanding of technology is an advantage.
