Principal Scientist In Chemical Process R&D (CPRD)

The Chemical Process Research and Development (CPRD) department is seeking a Principal Scientist in External Development Supply based in Shanghai, China.

As Principal Scientist in Chemical Process R&D (CPRD), you will lead and execute research to develop therapeutic agents, with a focus on originating high‑quality scientific experiments, advancing methodologies, and applying state‑of‑the‑art scientific knowledge. You will take leadership roles across projects at different stages of development and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree with minimum 5 years of experience in the area of process chemistry within the pharmaceutical industry
• Master in Organic chemistry or related area with minimum 7 years of professional experience in process chemistry

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English both verbal and in writing

• Strong hands‑on lab expertise designing, running, and troubleshooting complex experiments; solid understanding of process development principles.
• Excellent data analysis and scientific communication skills (reports and presentations) with professional working proficiency in English
