Molecular Neurogenetics is a research group at the department of Experimental Medical Science at the Faculty of Medicine. We are conducting world-leading research on the human brain and its relation to diseases. The research group is led by Professor Johan Jakobsson and includes 14 more coworkers. The group is international and contains researchers, administration, and technicians. We are now looking for a new project assistant within a project focusing on bioinformatic analysis of single cell RNA data from post mortem tissue from patients with Parkinson's Disease. As a group, we are actively working for a good work environment with respect and care in the relationships between us.
The project you will be part of is focusing on using advanced bioinformatic methods for analyzing available large-scale single cell RNA sequencing data from the Y-chromosome from patients with Parkinson's disease to identify sex specific changes in gene regulation. You will be conducting different types of bioinformatic analysis.
This is a full-time employment for maximum 12 months. Starting date in September 1st, 2026, the starting date can be discussed. The employment is in Sweden, and you are expected to be performing your work on site in Lund.
