HIV Testing Coordinator

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HIV testing sites across emergency departments and community-based clinical settings. This role focuses on recruiting new testing sites, establishing standardized testing and data protocols, training clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting accurate data reporting and linkage to care. The Coordinator works closely with hospital leadership, clinical teams, laboratories, and internal program staff to ensure consistent, high-quality testing services across all sites.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinates project/program management as assigned.
• Establishes milestones, management schedules, tracks progress and coordinates contributions within and beyond unit.
• Evaluates and assesses program/project. Develops tracking and initiates reports. Summarizes and disseminates results.
• May participate in grant process and/or provide oversight of budgets.
• Manages communications of program/project.
• Ensures all testing data is documented appropriately.
• Trains all staff at newly established testing sites on HIV testing protocols, documentation, linkage-to-care requirements, and quality assurance standards.
• Provides ongoing training for new staff at existing testing sites.
• Orders and distributes HIV test kits and ensures sites follow quality control (QC) procedures.
• Performs annual site inspections to ensure compliance with testing, documentation, and linkage-to-care protocols.
• Monitors adherence to protocol, including the requirement that sites notify program leadership immediately upon identifying a preliminary positive test.
• Collaborates with internal program staff, data teams, and leadership to support continuous quality improvement.
• Communicates regularly with site partners to address challenges, share updates, and reinforce best practices.
• Conducts research, collect/analyze data, oversee data entry.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $53,100.00 – $90,600.00 / Annually. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
