The University of Texas at Austin is seeking to hire a senior project manager (PM) with medical project management experience for the Planning, Design and Construction Department. PM will provide professional project management and leadership for major Capital Improvement Program (CIP, >$10M TPC) projects at UT Austin for highly technical, mission critical, and sensitive project types. PDC is actively managing a $1.3 billion hospital project, in partnership with the MD Anderson Cancer Center, as well as multiple time-critical enabling projects. This position is critical for the successful delivery of these projects. Provide professional management of and leadership for 2-5 project managers on multiple major, complex higher education academic, healthcare and research projects at UT Austin Campuses. Manage and oversee project managers in directing design professionals, campus departmental faculty and staff, and administer contracts necessary to meet project goals while maintaining project budget and schedule and timely reporting to leadership on project status.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
This job requires a class “C” operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
