The Oxford Internet Institute – founded in 2001 – is a multidisciplinary research and teaching department of the University of Oxford, dedicated to the social science of the Internet.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Research Assistant to join the project “The Social Effects of AI Interaction” funded by the AI Security Institute and be supervised by Dr Florence Enock.
The position is part time, 15 hours per week and fixed term for 3 months to start immediately. You will be based in Oxford but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working.
This role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to new interdisciplinary research at the intersection of AI and social cognition. The position offers a rich learning experience for those interested in forming a research career, along with the chance to become a part of the vibrant research community at the Oxford Internet Institute.
Main duties include undertaking comprehensive and systematic literature reviews, coding of online experiments, and gathering, analysing and presenting data from a variety of sources.
The ideal candidate must hold a first degree, together with experience in relevant research. They will have excellent written, verbal and data presentation skills.
