This position has a term length of 12 months.
This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton. This competition will be used to fill one full-time position primarily for daytime shifts.
These positions are located at the University of Alberta Hospital. The successful incumbent will perform patient-oriented research, para-medical procedures, preparatory work and provide administrative support to various research studies. The research staff will refer any unusual findings or problems related to the research or patient treatment to the medical Research Lead. Interaction with patients on obtaining informed consent, obtaining detailed histories/physicals and arranging follow-ups are an integral part of the activities of this position. Please note that working conditions may result in exposure to noxious odours and contact with drugs or infectious disease and body fluids of patients. The successful candidate will promote the importance of clinical research and act as a liaison between the research team, interdisciplinary clinical team (including Emergency physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and laboratory technologists), other research groups (mainly University and Alberta Health Services), industry representatives, and key stakeholders.
