Research Assistant – AnDY Research Clinic

This is an exciting opportunity for a research assistant to support the clinical and research activities of the Anxiety and Depression in children and Young people (AnDY) Research Clinic – Oxford. The clinic provides assessment and psychological treatment of anxiety and related disorders and depression in young people across Oxfordshire. We are committed to improving the understanding and treatment of these disorders. Our clinic is a collaboration between the Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre 'Mental Health in Development' theme, the University of Oxford, and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The post is available on a flexible hybrid basis. The minimum on-site time is 3 days/week for a full-time post.

About the Role

The post is funded until the end of March 2028 and is based in the Department of Psychiatry based at the Life and Mind Building.

You will support routine clinical assessments with children, young people, and families as part of a clinical and research team. You will coordinate and support the collection of high-quality clinical data for use in innovative research projects. You will also contribute to research outputs and project activities, including data analysis, reports, presentations, and publications for a range of audiences.

About You

You will hold a first degree in Psychology together with relevant experience. You will have experience working with children and young people with mental health difficulties or neurodiversity, ideally within an NHS or UK clinical environment. You will have experience with conducting research to protocol and developing research procedures. Experience of conducting research in child/young people's mental health settings would be desirable.
