Research Assistant – Preconception Health

We are seeking a collaborative and self-motivated research assistant for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production and delivery of preconception care tools and resources tailored for different population groups. The postholder will have a strong foundation in population health science and qualitative research, with extensive experience of community engagement / involvement and adaptive co-design with diverse populations. They will join the preconception care tools & resources work package of the preconception and interpregnancy theme, and link with the implementation work package and the cross-cutting data workstream of the MDC.

This is a 0.6 FTE hybrid position, available immediately, with an end date of 31 May 2028. Aspects of the research may continue beyond May 2028, subject review NIHR review. UCL Grade 6B £39,807 – £42,891 inc London Weighing Allowance (pro rata).

You will have a strong foundation in population health science and qualitative research, with extensive experience of community engagement / involvement and adaptive co-design with diverse populations. You will be organised and analytical, able to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills are required to present findings to academic, clinical, and policy audiences. Experience in applied health research, particularly in maternal or population health, is desirable.
