Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Aug 31, 2027

Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

Purpose: To conduct research in analysis, the calculus of variations, geometric measure theory and partial differential equations. To contribute to the mentoring of graduate students and postdocs in mathematics.

Responsibilities:

• Combine mathematical expertise with research skills to solve problems and to contribute to both theoretical advancement and practical applications of analysis.
• Presentation of results at scheduled meetings and at public forums.
• Use mathematical tools and software to analyze datasets, validate results, and interpret findings.
• Participating in research planning sessions, supervising and training postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in a relevant area of mathematics and demonstrated experience as reflected in scientific publications. Extensive experience with research & problem solving, data analysis, collaboration, publication & presentation and modeling and stimulation. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Salary Range: $70,000
