Research Associate in Geometric Data Science

Join the laboratory of Dr Cyrus Mostajeran at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. We are seeking a Research Associate to contribute to the research agenda of the project 'Geometric Optimization and Design in Learning and Robotics'.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Obtaining rigorous mathematical results at the interface of geometry, analysis, and data science
• Designing, implementing, and testing algorithms
• Engaging in scientific exchange with collaboration partners of the project
• Preparing reports, scientific papers, and presentations
• Project duration: 6 months

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering
• Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following areas: analysis, differential geometry, optimization, mechanics, biophysics, robotics, control theory
• Enthusiasm for applying advanced mathematical tools and techniques to applications including data science and robotics
• Good communication skills
