The MRC Biostatistics Unit is one of Europe's leading biostatistics research institutions. Our focus is to deliver new analytical and computational strategies based on sound statistical principles for the challenging tasks facing biomedicine and public health.
This position is to work with Dr Pavel Mozgunov within the Efficient Study Design (ESD) research theme of the MRC Biostatistics Unit (BSU). The postholder will contribute to the Better Methods Better Research (BMBR)-funded project “Optimising dose-finding and dose selection designs for early phase combination trials”. This project is a collaboration between statistical methodologists in academia and industry, trial statisticians, and clinicians. The postholder will work on the development of novel dose-finding and dose-optimisation methodology for combination studies, will develop guidelines on the implementation of these methods in practice, and will implement the developed methods in statistical software. The postholder will also contributing to the outreach activities and will have an opportunity to contribute to the support of planning of innovative clinical trials.
Appointment made at Grade 8 (Senior Research Associate level). The earliest permissible start date is 1 October 2026.
