Your next career opportunity You will coordinate a portfolio of mental health policy and systems research across multiple funded projects. You will support grants, ethics, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge translation to maximise impact. You will be a trusted partner to the Academic Lead and project teams, ensuring smooth operations.

What you will deliver:

• Coordinate planning, implementation, and delivery of multiple research and evaluation projects, ensuring milestones and reporting requirements are met.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditure, prepare forecasts, and support compliance with University financial policies and processes.
• Lead coordination of ethics, governance, contracts, and regulatory documentation across University and partner institutions.
• Develop and maintain effective project management systems, documentation, and operational processes to support efficient delivery.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities and advisory structures, and support literature reviews, reports, publications, and presentations.

You may be a great fit if you:

• Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in public health, health services research, psychology, epidemiology, or related discipline.
• Demonstrate experience coordinating research, evaluation, or health-related projects within complex organisational or partnership environments.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and reporting, and contribute to funding submissions or competitive grant applications.
• Navigate human research ethics and governance processes, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
• Produce clear, high-quality written materials, including reports, documentation, and stakeholder communications, with excellent verbal communication.
• Prioritise multiple tasks, work independently, and build strong relationships with academic, government, and lived experience partners.

Your new team – You will join the Health Policy and Systems Science group within the Department of Psychiatry at Melbourne. The team focuses on generating actionable evidence to improve mental health systems, services, and policy outcomes. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary academics and partners across government and services to drive real-world impact.
