The research group for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease – Genetic Epidemiology conducts clinical/epidemiological research in diet, genes, gut microbiome and their connection to type 2 diabetes and other cardiometabolic diseases. Research has been at the forefront of the field of diet, multifactorial genetics and gut microbiota for several years. The group is led by Professor Marju Orho-Melander and consists of both research and technical staff. The activities are located at the Clinical Research Center (CRC) in Malmö.

We are looking for a driven research engineer to assist researchers and students in the research group with genetic and bioinformatic analyses of genome wide association data, gut microbiome- and other omics data, and clinical data.

This is a special fixed-term employment (SÄVA) for the period 2026-12-01 until 2027-04-30, at 100% full-time.
