The Goris lab studies the neural basis of visual perception and cognition, using an interdisciplinary approach. Research methods include human behavioral experiments, monkey electrophysiology, and computational modeling. Projects are supported by federal agencies and private foundations.
The successful candidate will serve in a dynamic research support role spanning laboratory operations and management, aseptic surgical procedures, supervision and training of laboratory members, and specialized engineering projects.
This is a one-year fixed-term position.
Provide advanced technical, operational, and coordination support for agency-funded neuroscience research in the laboratory of Dr. Robbe Goris within the Department of Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin. Independently support laboratory operations while serving as the primary coordinator for a multi-disciplinary research program.
