Research Fellow Position

The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) provides a vibrant and nurturing environment for staff and students to carry out inter-disciplinary research in key areas such as computational materials science, characterization materials science, defense composite materials, functional composite materials, energy, nanomaterials, low dimensional materials, biomaterials materials, biological materials, bioinspired materials, and sustainable materials.

We are seeking a highly motivated research fellow to join our dynamic team at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of materials science, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and sensing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent research in areas related to material science and engineering in thermal management
• Develop and implement thermal interface materials or related technology
• Optimization of formulation for gap fill dielectrics in heterogeneous integration
• Contribute to ongoing semiconductor research
• Collaborate with faculty and other researchers on interdisciplinary projects
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at top conferences
• Assist in mentoring students

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Material Science, Engineering, Semiconductor, Thermal Management or a closely related field
• Strong background in materials formulations or synthesis
• Experience in printing technology or coating techniques
• Expertise in thermal management or thermal properties
• Expertise in AI and machine learning is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
