Research Fellow (Physics/Photonic Materials) Full-time

Research Fellow Opportunity

Join the laboratory of Zhang Baile at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS). We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to a project focused on topological photonics. Both theoretical and experimental studies are required, as part of ongoing research effort in School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at NTU to develop new knowledge and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of topological photonic devices
• Experimental study of topological and non-Hermitian photonic devices
• Exploration of new topics in related areas

Job Requirements:

• A PhD degree in physics or related areas, with focus on photonic materials
• At least 4 years of relevant experiences in photonic materials / technical hands-on experience in theoretical photonics
• Familiarity with non-Hermitian physics, spacetime modulation, and axion physics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 4 research publications in top journals
