The long-term goal of our laboratory is to determine the mechanisms responsible for metabolic syndrome and its vascular complications. We are particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms of the interactions between vitamin D signal transduction, intracellular calcium, and endoplasmic reticulum stress in critical tissues responsible for the development of metabolic syndrome and its complications. Assists with the technical aspects of studies and experiments, including documentation and preparation of materials.
