The Research Technician II in this position will be involved in molecular biology and cell biology research related to therapeutics development for neurodegenerative diseases. Typical activities will include performing cell culture techniques, cell staining, qPCR, PCR, Western Blots, and other biochemical assays. Will collect and analyze data and be expected to keep an accurate and up-to-date record of experiments and resulting data. Role will primarily be done within a wet lab/bench setting with occasional computer work. The person in this position will also require animal contact, as they will assist in animal colony management duties including animal identification, breeding/weaning/genotyping tasks, and record-keeping.

$16.92 – $26.44 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
