We are seeking a highly motivated Research Technician / Laboratory Manager to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary research team. Our work focuses on understanding aging-related genetic changes in blood cells and their roles in immunology and cancer development. We integrate large population-level cohort analyses with cutting-edge genome editing and single-cell approaches in cell lines and in patient samples. The research group is led by Mikko Myllymäki, MD, PhD and our research group is located at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), University of Helsinki. We are also part of the Translational Immunology Research Program within the Faculty of Medicine. The successful candidate will join a translational research environment integrating genetics, immunology, cell biology, bioinformatics, and clinical medicine.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive training will be provided for all techniques and responsibilities. The position is full-time and fixed-term for three years, with a possibility for extension. A six-month probationary period will be applied (standard in Finnish university employment contracts).

Salary The salary is based on the job requirement scheme for specialist and support staff in the salary system of Finnish universities, plus a personal performance component. The typical starting gross salary for comparable UH laboratory/research technician roles is approximately €2,600–€3,200/month (depending on duties and experience).
