The CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism) Research Biology group within Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED) is seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative Scientist 3 to investigate novel pathways, targets, and therapeutic development in cardiovascular and kidney diseases.
The Scientist 3 contributes to the early-stage CVRM pipeline across multiple therapeutic modalities and disease areas, including obesity, cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic conditions. In this lab-based role, you will work independently and collaboratively to validate new targets and pathways, leveraging in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo skills. Reporting to the laboratory head and VP of CVRM Research biology, you will engage in target discovery and mechanism-of-action studies while collaborating with cross-functional teams of scientists and clinicians to advance therapeutic development. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing CVRM biology group and make significant contributions to the early stage pipeline, across multiple tissues and disease areas.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $103,400 to $192,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
