As a part of a growing in vivo Bioscience team within the R&I department, we are seeking a highly motivated scientist with hands-on in vivo skills to join our collaborative team. This candidate would have experience in immunology or related discipline. This is a lab-based position. The role will initially be based in Waltham, MA within AstraZeneca's state-of-the-art laboratories where you will follow the science to help drive innovation and advance medicine to help improve patient lives. In October 2026 we will be located at the new state of the art facilities in Kendall Square Cambridge.
In this role, you will be an in vivo experimental scientist within Respiratory and Immunology Department focusing on developing therapeutics for the treatment of immune and autoimmune diseases such as SLE, fibrosis and arthritis using mouse models. You will generate preclinical and translational data in support of key portfolio programs and drive technical excellence in bioscience research. Strong expertise in in vivo mouse models and hands-on in vivo skills is required and multiparameter flow cytometry, multiplex cytokine read-outs, qPCR is essential. The role will sometimes involve implementing protocols over timelines that extend outside of normal working patterns.
As part of AstraZeneca's dynamic US biologics R&D community, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of AI-driven biologics discovery and engineering. Collaborating across cutting-edge computational and experimental teams, you'll drive innovation that brings transformative medicines to patients around the world. You will be supported by a collaborative, inclusive, and empowering environment, with unparalleled opportunities for scientific impact and personal growth.
