Senior Executive (Clinical Research Officer, Biobanking)

LKCMedicine is looking for a Senior Executive (Clinical Research Officer, Biobanking) who is self-motivated, proactive in problem solving and a strong team player. The candidate will enjoy staff benefits and be part of the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study team, a flagship Singapore population health study jointly conducted by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London. We aim to profile the health and behavior of up to 100,000 people from the general Singapore population over the next few years. We are conducting surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, physical and functional measurements and biomarkers for chronic diseases.

The candidate will play a key role mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

• Receive, process and biobank biological samples efficiently, in a timely manner.
• Assist in frozen sample retrieval and sorting for study collaborators.
• Perform daily routine measurements on analytical systems e.g. clinical chemistry and hematology counter.
• Monitor quality standards by verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance, running daily quality controls and calibrations.
• Perform general administrative work such as tracking the supply of daily consumables and coordinate with vendors/suppliers on procurement matters.
• Able to troubleshoot whenever there are equipment issues/breakdown.
• Must adhere to regulatory requirements (HBRA-HTF) and ensure safety in the work environment.
• Must be a strong team player.

Key Competencies and Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Allied Health Sciences / Biomedical Sciences / Life Sciences / Biotechnology or other related fields. Diploma holders with relevant experience may also apply.
• Experience working in Biobanking facilities or experience in running clinical chemistry assays.
• Ability to work independently with high levels of motivation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well in a team to deliver good research participant care.
• Must pay attention to detail.
