We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and strategically minded Senior Project Manager to join the RESPECT-TB team at the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM), University of Oxford. RESPECT-TB ('RESistance Prevalence, Emergence and Clinical impacT in TB') is a large, Wellcome-funded, multi-country observational study of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB), spanning five countries across Africa and Asia: South Africa, Mozambique, India, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam.
The post-holder will be central to the successful set up and delivery of this complex, high-value international study, providing operational leadership, financial oversight, and governance coordination from the Oxford hub. Working closely with the Principal Investigator (Professor Timothy Walker, University of Oxford) and co-leads (Professor Nazir Ismail, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and Professor Graeme Meintjes, University of Cape Town, South Africa, and Queen Mary University of London), the post-holder will ensure that the study is delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all applicable regulatory, ethical, and governance frameworks.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with experience in global health or clinical research to take a leading role in one of the most ambitious multi-country TB research programmes. The post will involve international travel to partner countries and attendance at consortium meetings, which will be held outside the UK. The post-holder will sit on the study's Steering Committee and will work alongside country-based project managers in each of the five participating countries.
The post-holder will be the operational lead for RESPECT-TB at the University of Oxford, reporting directly to the Principal Investigator. The role is broad in scope and requires both strategic oversight and hands-on management of a complex, multi-workstream study.
