AbbVie's peptide discovery team in Madison, WI, is at the forefront of discovering novel molecules for therapeutic treatments. We are seeking a creative and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team.
In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated group of R&D scientists, engineers, and software developers to maintain and advance our proprietary peptide array synthesizers. Your work will directly contribute to accelerating the discovery of new pharmaceuticals and making a significant impact on patient outcomes.
As a key contributor, you will leverage your expertise in scientific, medical, or laboratory instrumentation to solve complex challenges. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our instrumentation, from designing and modifying to integrating hardware components like sensors, actuators, pumps, and more to perform high-precision, coordinated activities.

Pay Range: $96500 – 183500 USD
Role is exclusively performed at a site or office and onsite presence is required. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
