The Senior Scientist in the Division of Genomic and Molecular Pathology (GMP) within the Department of Pathology & Immunology will play a key role in the research and development of advanced oncology and germline testing. This position is responsible for evaluating and implementing new lab methodologies, including assay optimization, troubleshooting, and performance characterization across multiple molecular platforms before clinical deployment. Will coordinate and organize specimens for analytical and clinical validation studies, ensuring appropriate sample selection, tracking, and documentation. In collaboration with laboratory and division leadership, bioinformatics, and clinical stakeholders, the role will participate in informatics analysis to assess data quality, assay performance, and clinical utility. The Senior Scientist will also contribute to the drafting of validation plans, protocols, and final reports in compliance with CAP, CLIA, and other regulatory standards. This role requires a high degree of scientific rigor in clinical genomics, cross functional collaboration, and the ability to translate emerging technologies into robust clinically deployable assays.Collaborates on designing, conducting and reporting of research projects.

$63,400.00 – $115,000.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
