Contribute to the development and refinement of research questions and study ideas based on methodological expertise, available data, and research findings. Identify opportunities for further investigation and determine appropriate analytic approaches. Apply complex statistical models as appropriate to research questions, including multilevel and mixed-effects models, longitudinal models, generalized linear models, structural equation models, mixture models, and psychometric and scale development methods. Prepare analytic datasets, statistical outputs, tables, and figures; evaluate and interpret results; and identify relevant methodological, statistical, or data limitations.
Quantitative research methodology and study planning: Provide quantitative methodological and technical expertise, as requested by investigators, for the development of LRI research proposals and the planning and implementation of research projects. Advise on study design, measurement, power and sample size calculations, analytical approaches, selection of appropriate statistical models, research workflows, and feasibility assessment. Identify methodological or implementation issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Research data management and quality assurance: Design and manage research databases and data workflows in accordance with research needs and objectives. Develop and implement data management and QA/QC procedures; conduct data cleaning, validation, linkage, transformation, and preparation of analysis-ready datasets.
