The laboratory is looking for a highly motivated scientist to join a growing basic science laboratory that studies how immune responses to infection affect the developing brain. The project studies mouse models of congenital viral infection with two goals: 1) to discover mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental impairments due to congenital infection; and 2) to directly facilitate development of therapeutics to improve outcomes in affected children.
Techniques commonly used in this lab include PCR, histology/immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. Designs research protocols. Assists in developing and conducting research projects, including experiment design, data analysis and documentation of experiment results.

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
