The Pisu Lab at the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center in Covington, Louisiana, part of Tulane School of Medicine, is seeking a Research Scientist with postdoctoral experience to join NIH-funded projects focused on host-pathogen interactions in tuberculosis.
The position will involve CRISPR/Cas9-based engineering of primary lung macrophages, molecular cloning, and next-generation sequencing approaches to identify host pathways required for early Mycobacterium tuberculosis growth. Candidates should have strong experience in CRISPR/Cas9, molecular cloning, and NGS-based workflows.
Preferred qualifications include experience with M. tuberculosis or other mycobacteria, BSL-3 research experience or willingness to train, and experience with flow cytometry and cell sorting.
