FONDECYT Postdoctoral Fellowship 2027

Opportunities at Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile

The Faculty of Sciences at Universidad de Valparaíso (UV), Chile, invites outstanding early-career researchers from Chile and abroad to express their interest in applying for the FONDECYT Postdoctoral Fellowship 2027.

According to ANID’s current calendar, the call is expected to open in August 2026 and close in September 2026, with projects beginning in 2027.

The Faculty hosts active research groups in physics, astronomy, mathematics, statistics, data science, biology, neuroscience, physiology, chemistry, meteorology, ecology, environmental sciences, and climate-related research.

Prospective applicants should identify a potential UV sponsoring researcher whose expertise aligns with their proposed project. Those requiring assistance identifying a suitable sponsor may also contact the Faculty.

Expressions of interest should include:

• A curriculum vitae;

• A brief description of the proposed project; and

• A short statement explaining its alignment with a potential UV sponsor or research group.
